Well said 🙂 – also a man who is right in his own eyes is seldom right in God’s eyes (RCBell) Prov.3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

I appreciated Pastor Cobb’s message giving courage to step out when we sense God may be leading us to do something, that is, after carefully considering what the Bible says, having sought godly counsel, and recognizing that circumstances may be confirming that leading. It would be better to step out and be wrong than to miss out on whatever God has for us. Usually, but not always, the person who does what is right in their own eyes doesn’t even look to the Bible or seek godly counsel, and they’re not afraid to ‘dance’. They’re not afraid of being wrong, because they already think they’re right. It’s when we sense a leading from the Lord that may either be out of our comfort zone or contrary to what tradition has taught us that we need not fear moving on with God and the truth He reveals. Thank you, Randell, for adding that extra reminder. 🙂

This is a wonderful quote … our family is currently stepping out in something God asked us to follow Him into … I often feel as if I have one foot in the air … constantly asking “where, God, do you want me to step next?” Thanks for sharing this today … It blessed me!

Great quote, Sweets. We have seen times, just in the past week, where God has confirmed that some of our family’s decisions have been the right ones. He may not answer prayer requests when we expect them, but when we step out on faith and trust him, (without watching our feet) He is often quick to confirm that we can ALWAYS trust Him.
    love, g.

Yes, without watching our feet. [chuckle] If we believe He said it, then just step out and do it, right? Dancing freely and without fear is so much better than watching our feet, afraid of taking a wrong step. How will we ever get better if we keep our head and eyes down instead of looking up? Thank you, g! 🙂
