I participate in a weekly photo challenge for my photo blog, and this was too good not to post here, too. While pondering this week’s photo challenge theme Extra, I remembered finding a 4-leaf clover a day or two before. I also remembered seeing some clovers whose leaves had a reddish edge. Four-leaf clovers have an extra leaf, so I decided to venture out in hopes of finding one for the challenge. As I strolled to the back yard, I also thought, “Lord, it would be really cool to find a red 4-leaf clover.” Even though it wasn’t actually a prayer request, and even though He doesn’t always answer our prayers in the way we want or expect, I was so excited and surprised to actually find one! What are the odds? Seriously! Jesus loves this ragamuffin!
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. —Jeremiah 33:3

Hi Sweets,
What a great, and inspiring post. I have often been amazed at how God really does hear our requests, our fervent prayers, but also our slight and silent ‘wishes’ at times. The creator of the universe sees a sparrow fall, counts the hairs on our heads, and sometimes, by your evidence, even chooses to provide a red four leaf clover, just because it would make you happy, and just because He can. He really is an unbelievably loving father.
God bless you. Oh… He already has. 🙂
love,
g.

As I looked at the petals of the red four leaf clover they look like hearts 🙂

They do, don’t they? Another thing I noticed was that they are tattered, which is actually perfect, because it reminds me of how He loves even those of us who are tattered. Like I said, Jesus loves this ragamuffin! 😀

That is such a cool picture! I have never seen a red clover before. Sometimes God just shows off for us, doesn’t he?

I had never seen one before either, so to actually find one, even though I didn’t actually think I would, and yet believing God might was exciting. Yes! I love when He shows off in such ‘small’ ways. 😀 Thank you for visiting, mommyinbonlee!

In 2020 during March thru November I found a total of 30 something 4 leaf clovers to my suprise. My yard was full of them. Genuine white clover 4 leaf clovers (since alot of folks think witch hazle is also 4 leaf clover, but it is not, as it naturally grows in 4 peddles) anyway, it is January 2, 2021, and I just found my first 2 of the year 🤗 there’s a tiny spot of red tinted clovers and I was thinking the same as you, how cool it would be to find a 4 leaf, and 2 seconds later I spotted it!! Then another right beneath it!!! Needless to say, they’re now in my collection. I wish I knew a better way to preserve them, as the book method isnt really the greatest. Maybe I can put them into some kind of transparent molding? That’d be amazing and last a life time!!

That’s fantastic! I’ve never worked with transparent molding, but it seems like it’d be a great way to preserve one. Thank you for visiting and sharing your story!
